For clubs, universities and schools, TRC will work with you to establish the appropriate culture to make the most of their opportunities within the sport.

In every successful programme there needs to be a structure with a process. The process does not need to be the same in every programme, but it does need to be structured, to get the best out of the athletes and coaches and allow them both to deliver their goals. Fundamental to any programme is the programme culture and how the coaching team will deliver and embed that culture. Performance culture is important not only for the programme but also for the individual, if they want to be the best they can be and increase their boat speed.

How much of rowing is in the head? This is an interesting question that does not have a right or wrong answer and it may surprise you to know that top athletes believe that over 80% of rowing is in the head. If that is the case why don’t we spend enough time training the head and getting that right. When mental skills are not optimised you cannot do what is required to perform at the highest level.
